HALAL BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Healthy animal
  • Animal other than swine.
  • Welfare of animal eg. not to slaughter in front of other animals.
  • Slaughterman Muslim (qualified and licensed).
  • Sharp knife should be used.
  • No stunning.
  • Cutting of throat, oesophagus, carotid arteries and jugular vein, but not backbone.
  • Taking name of Allah only.
  • Maximum bleeding.
  • Good hygiene standards
